BuySAfrica was purchased by Alan Vorster in 2003.  It was purely an online company and in October 2004, he and his wife Linda, found premises in Celbridge and opened a physical shop.  Sadly, two months later, Linda was diagnosed with cancer.  By May of 2005 she had become so ill that Alan decided to move the shop to Kilcock, where they lived.  Two months later Linda lost her battle and passed away on 26 July 2005.

Alan’s sister, Coleen, came over in September 2006 to take over the reigns from Linda.  This was quite a change from the 29 years that she spent at the South African Reserve Bank.

BuySAfrica is still dedicated to providing the finest South African products to the Irish market.

For unique gift ideas or something new and exciting to experience, our product range includes wines, drinks & juices, tea, rooibos tea, coffee & chocolate drinks, sauces, dressings, marinades and chutney, wheat free instant cereals, baby cereals & maize meal, confectionery & crisps, health & beauty products, exotic spices - and many more interesting items you might never have heard of like Biltong, Boerewors and Koeksisters!
